Job summary

CSafe is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to own customs, import/export, and trade compliance for CSafe products moving across borders. You will handle documentation, audits, classifications, and policy implementation in coordination with Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years as a Licensed Customs Broker, with strong knowledge of HTS, CROSS, and ACE. Based in Monroe, OH, reporting to the Director of Logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB).
• Strong understanding of international shipping and import/export compliance.
• Working knowledge of HTS and classification methodology; experience with binding ruling submissions to CBP or equivalent.
• Familiarity with U.S. customs regulations (19 CFR) and CBP tools such as CROSS and ACE.
• Experience designing or delivering trade compliance training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import/export compliance activities and documentation.
• Review/validate invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and templates; support audits.
• Perform HTS and Schedule B classification reviews; apply GRIs; maintain classification database.
• Drive adoption of trade compliance policies on valuation, origin, agreements, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare and submit binding ruling requests to CBP and foreign authorities.
• Support USMCA and monitor AD/CVD determinations.
• Research and establish customs clearance processes for new markets; coordinate with brokers.
