Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support global import/export operations. You will manage international documentation, assist with HTS classification, and coordinate with freight forwarders and brokers to ensure compliance.

The role requires a BS/BA or equivalent experience and at least 2 years in trade compliance, with strong Excel skills. Benefits are offered to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years trade compliance or international business experience.
• Experience in HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin determination.
• Familiarity with international logistics and shipping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review import and export documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Interface with freight forwarders, customs brokers and other trade compliance-related third-party service providers.
• Sustain the HTS classification program and assist in the maintenance of a classification database.
• Manage record keeping processes and archiving of entry records.
• Free trade agreement program management, including vendor certificate solicitations.
• Oversee the entry auditing program, including review of valuation, classification, and country of origin.
• Provide resolution on PGA requests, including research and review of regulations.
• Coordinate routing instructions to freight forwarders and brokers.
• Manage the restricted party screening program and resolution of match issues.
• Navigate research in customs regulations globally to resolve issues.
• Provide trade compliance knowledge and support to other functional areas, including education and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to process international shipments per standard procedures.
