Job summary

Leonid Group in Chicago is seeking a Trade Compliance Program Manager to own and drive the program for a U.S. business, partnering with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, Customer Service and Operations.

You will balance regulatory requirements with business realities, lead program governance, and implement practical processes using tools like ACE, SAP GTS, e2open, Descartes and Excel. This role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, residency in the U.S., and a hands-on approach

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Trade Compliance, Customs or Logistics Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations.
• Experience with audits, broker management and compliance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for trade compliance in the business.
• Manage imports/exports across HTS, ECCN, Schedule B, valuation and origin.
• Coordinate FTAs, tariffs, AD/CVD and Section 301 analyses.
• Lead denied-party screening and sanctions processes.
• Conduct trade compliance audits and implement controls.
• Oversee customs broker management and performance.
• Interact with CBP and BIS during regulatory inquiries.
• Develop policies, procedures and training for practical use.
• Collaborate with corporate Trade Compliance on governance and risk.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate into business actions.
