Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Customs Compliance Officer to join the Global Trade Compliance team in Palm Bay, FL. You will manage the Customs Trade Compliance Program and support regulatory requirements across multiple business units, ensuring compliant importation of products worldwide.

The role requires coordinating IOR responsibilities with CBP, HTSUS classifications, and execution of ATA Carnets, with a focus on accuracy, audit support, and stakeholder training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or advanced degree with equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of US customs regulations and import/export controls (ITAR/EAR) and related agencies.
• Proficiency with HTSUS and Schedule B classifications; familiarity with trade compliance systems such as EASE or Visual Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Customs Trade Compliance Program across business units.
• Classify HTSUS/national codes for imports/exports.
• Coordinate Importer of Record (IOR) activities with CBP and agencies.
• Coordinate ATA Carnets and ensure compliant documentation.
• Verify data accuracy for imports and FTAs and screen restricted parties.
• Conduct stakeholder training and support audits/inquiries.
