Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America seeks a Global Trade Assistant Manager to lead FTA operations and ensure compliant movement of shipments across borders. You will coordinate import/export logistics and train the Global Trade Department in USMCA/USKOR requirements.

The role requires deep FTA experience, supervisory capabilities, and strong collaboration with brokers, vendors, and carriers. Strong English communication and US work authorization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of the US Free Trade Act: USMCA / USKOR management is mandatory.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• 7+ Years of Experience in FTA.
• 5+ Years of Supervisory Experience.
• Direct experience with import and export shipping.
• Experience with customs clearance/transportation required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Lead in moving shipments through the supply chain with compliant documentation.
• Coordinate ocean/air/inland transport from import to sale/export.
• Provide internal advisory and training for FTA operations.
• Develop cost-saving initiatives for logistics processes.
• Interact with vendors, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure smooth cross-border movement.
• Carry out special projects and adapt to evolving global trade strategies.
