Job description

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Global Trade Compliance Manager role.

This position offers flexible work arrangements, allowing for a fully remote, hybrid, or entirely onsite option in the Northeast Ohio area.

Responsibilities

• Manage the global import/export program
• Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
• Focus on specific regulatory bodies, including the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the National Customs Agency of Mexico, and the Canada Border Services Agency.
• Collaborate with customs brokers globally
• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory resources
• Ensure integrity while achieving regulatory compliance.
• Protect national security interests.

Requirements

• Experience in import and export compliance.
• Thorough understanding of international import/export laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines, and U.S. customs regulations.
• Proficient in utilizing MRP/ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and various database management systems.
• Advanced capabilities in data analysis and effective communication.
