Job summary

BD in Franklin Lakes, NJ is seeking a Global Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure compliant, efficient import of products and materials into the United States. You will support import execution, broker management, regulatory coordination, and trade program administration.

You will work with internal stakeholders, suppliers, brokers, and government agencies to facilitate compliant international trade operations and HTS classifications while maintaining PGA data and ISF compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years in global trade compliance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of US customs, HTS, Incoterms, and FDA/PGA requirements.
• Experience with SAP and GTM ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage import transactions to ensure timely and compliant clearance.
• Classify imported products using HTS codes according to US customs.
• Determine and maintain PGA data requirements, including FDA, USDA, EPA.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to obtain HTS and PGA information.
• Review invoices and documentation for US customs compliance.
• Provide clearance instructions to customs brokers and facilitate release.
• Communicate import requirements to suppliers and vendors.
• Oversee ISF compliance and broker performance.
