Job summary

Hussmann Internship Program offers meaningful real-life experiences in the food retailing industry. The Trade Compliance Intern role provides exposure to US import/export regulations and process management.

During a twelve-week summer block, you’ll work with cross-functional teams, use Excel and IT skills, and network with leaders while contributing to compliance initiatives and a company-wide Ideation & Innovation Challenge.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in school pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to relocate, if not local.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations that will help you understand how global trade compliance impacts business from a legal and operational standpoint.
• Brainstorm and utilize Excel and IT skills to assist the team in developing additional processes across the compliance organization to meet global compliance regulations and improve efficiency.
• Network with senior leaders, associates, and other program interns to learn about our organization.
• Tour Hussmann's facility and R&D Labs to understand product quality and operational processes.
• Participate in community stewardship outreach, career development events, and other team-building activities.
• Compete in the Ideation & Innovation Challenge with cross-functional teams.
