Job summary

Hussmann Corporation invites motivated students to join its Summer Internship Program as Sales Interns. You will work with the Sales Operations team, gain real-world exposure to a sales career, and engage with senior leaders through meaningful projects and events.

During the twelve-week program, you will visit retailers with sales representatives, participate in meetings, and collaborate with internal teams to solve customer challenges while building your professional network.

Qualifications

Overview

Hussmann's Internship Program provides meaningful, real-life experiences while working as a solutions leader in the food retailing industry. Hussmann interns receive competitive compensation, participate in community stewardship, network with company leadership, and learn about career opportunities available at Hussmann.

As a Sales Intern in the 2027 Hussmann Summer Internship Program, you will gain experience and insight into the day in the life of a sales professional and work across the Sales Operations team.

Responsibilities

• Visit Retailers with Sales Representatives.
• Engage in Customer Meetings.
• Help solve customer challenges alongside sales and the internal support teams.
• Network with senior leaders, associates, and other program interns to learn about our organization.
• Tour Hussmann's 1.6 million square foot manufacturing facility, our Global Hub for hosting customers, and the R&D Lab where we test product quality,
• Participate in community stewardship outreach, career development events, and other team-building offsite events,
• Compete in our annual Ideation & Innovation Challenge.

Ideation & Innovation Challenge

: Throughout the twelve-week program, all Hussmann interns will divide into cross-functional teams and compete with one another for the Hussmann Ideation & Innovation Challenge. Working with Hussmann mentors and leaders, you and your team will identify a solution to a provided problem statement. At the end of the summer, you’ll present your team’s business proposal to a panel of judges, executive leaders, and the organization – and possibly create a roadmap for Hussmann’s next great innovation.

• Currently enrolled in school pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate strong attention to detail

The summer internship will run from the third week of May through the first week of August. These dates may be changed to meet the needs of the student.
