Job summary

Magna Powertrain in North America seeks a Trade Compliance Analyst to oversee customs compliance, classification, and broker coordination for cross-border transactions. You will partner with internal teams and external brokers to ensure accurate filings and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities include HTS classifications, duty optimization, audits, and post-entry support. Travel and collaboration across teams are expected to continuously improve compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, Customs Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, import/export operations, or customs brokerage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office, including Excel; Power BI development highly desired.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) designation or CCS/CTCS designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as process owner for the Broker Referral Program and ensure accurate import data to brokers.
• Research and assign HTS classifications for imported products; update HTS database.
• Support duty optimization through USMCA/CUSMA, KORUS, and HTSUS 9801/9802.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, Engineering, and Manufacturing on duties and landed cost.
• Manage internal audits of import transactions for broker compliance.
• Provide support for import/export shipments and TIB processes.
• Support broker management activities (POAs, bonds, SOPs).
