Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Export Compliance Lead to oversee global regulatory adherence across US, Canada, and EMEA markets. You will create and manage export policies, guide duties and classifications, and partner with Logistics to ensure compliant operations at multiple centers.

The role requires 3+ years in international trade, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Candidates should be detail-oriented and capable of cross-functional collaboration to drive risk-aware processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 3+ years experience in international trade/shipping.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian, and EMEA regulations for US, Canada, and Middle East markets.
• Create export documentation and lead the Export Compliance Program and policies.
• Support export operations at business and distribution centers; manage activities across jurisdictions.
• Provide guidance on export duties, valuation, classification, country of origin, Drawback, AES, and clearance operations.
• Partner with Logistics on compliance, vendor selection, and vendor management; conduct audits and training.
• Work with engineers to determine ECCN classifications and contribute to Trade Compliance IT logic.

Job description

• Ensure compliance with International Customs and Domestic trade regulations for corporate markets and plants located in the US, Canada, and Middle East/EMEA across the Water Solutions platform.
• Create export documentation.
• Lead the Export Compliance Program and policies.
• Support export operations at the business and distribution centers.
• Manage export compliance activities in multiple jurisdictions and ensure compliance with U.S., Canadian, and EMEA government regulations.
• Provide guidance on Export Duties, Valuation, Classification, Country of Origin, Drawback, AES, clearance operations, and related topics.
• Partner with Logistics on compliance, vendor selection, and vendor management.
• Monitor relevant regulations, determine impacts, create compliance programs, and advise affected business units.
• Create and conduct training and communicate export compliance policies and procedures.
• Develop policies, procedures, internal controls, and audit processes; conduct audits.
• Work with engineers to determine export classification (ECCN) of products and parts.
• Assist with Trade Compliance IT logic.
• Work on cross-functional projects with stakeholders.
