Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Core Components Supervisor to lead the global thermal systems team, accountable for climate and cooling components across ICE and EV programs. You will drive design specs, supplier qualification, and cross-functional delivery.

Role requires 10+ years in automotive thermal design and 5+ years in leadership, with a strong focus on program execution, DV/PV planning, and supplier collaboration. Hybrid onsite four days per week in Dearborn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years automotive industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience with automotive thermal system components/subsystems design.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead global core engineering team responsible for climate and/or cooling components.
• Author engineering specifications and foundation documents (DFMEA, DVP, ESOW).
• Lead in creating sourcing quote packages and technical supplier assessments.
• Oversee supplier implementation and technology introductions using Ford GTDS processes.
• Create and manage modular parts catalogs for vehicle use.
• Support WCCA, EMC reviews, and safety-related activities.
