Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Global Technology Manager for Melt processable fluoropolymers to join the Advanced Performance Materials business in Newark, DE. Lead a global R&D team, align with commercial and manufacturing resources, and drive strategic product development.

You will oversee lab operations, set priorities, and advance capabilities for electronics and semiconductor applications, traveling up to 25%. Requires 10+ years of R&D leadership and a materials/chemical engineering background.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in research and development, technology leadership, materials development, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of direct people management experience, including leading technical teams and developing talent.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a global team of R&D scientists and application engineers, establishing strategic priorities, talent development plans, and technical excellence standards.
Monitor and evaluate progress and results, and determine improvements or changes needed to achieve goals.
Work daily with the global technology and commercial teams to ensure alignment of technical resources with business strategy for new product and application development.
Expand capabilities to support product development, application prototyping and industry relevant performance testing for the target applications.
Oversee global laboratory operations and investment strategies, including implementation of new equipment, testing methodologies, and development processes.
