Job summary

Apple in Cupertino seeks a seasoned manufacturing engineering leader to guide a team of engineers in new product development and sustaining operations. The role focuses on ensuring contract manufacturer readiness for high-volume production and addressing SMT and system integration challenges.

You will leverage DFx/DFM principles, GD&T, and cross-functional collaboration across ME, EE, and software teams to drive cost reductions and robust manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong work experience in precision assembly, inspection, and validation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering field.
• Meaningful experience in introducing products into manufacturing or high volume production.
• Excellent project management skills and experience working in a matrix organization.
• Direct experience leading functional engineering teams such as ME, EE, TE, or DFX.
• Experience working with international OEM partners.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 40%.
• Validated working experience with DFm and DFx.
• Consistent record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, servomotors, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
• JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma experience.
• Master's degree considered a plus.
