Job summary

Molex is seeking an Advanced Development, Technical Project Manager to lead globally distributed, cross-functional teams from initiation to PDP, interfacing with customers and mentoring staff. You will drive project decisions, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery in a technical environment.

The role requires strong PM experience, leadership, and willingness to travel, with a path toward PMP certification within a year and collaboration across North America and Asia Pacific teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, manufacturing, supply management, or related field.
• 5+ years in Product Development Specific Project Management in a technical environment.
• 2 years in a customer-facing or external executive-facing role.
• Fluent Japanese (spoken and technical reading/writing) for interfaces with Japan.
• Willingness to obtain PMP certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Advanced Development and Technology Development projects.
• Balance innovation with forward progress.
• Establish and lead continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Manage transition from Advanced Development to PDP.
• Manage project vision creation and project change management.
• Own project reporting communication to management and customers.
• Lead and mentor team members in PM principles, risk management and decision making.
