Canonical is expanding its in-house legal team and seeking exceptional lawyers for a remote Legal Counsel role (EMEA/AMER) with London office option. You will draft, review, and negotiate cross‑border contracts while advising internal clients on complex commercial matters.

Qualifications

• Requires law degree (JD or equivalent) and an active license or progress toward licensure.
• Proven track record of providing high‑quality legal and commercial advice.
• Excellent drafting and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑cultural environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally 2–4 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal support to internal clients including sales and partnerships.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external counsel.
• Maintain contract management data accurately and coordinate with local counsel.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation.
