Job summary
Canonical is expanding its in‑house legal team and is seeking exceptional lawyers to work on a variety of transactional matters in technology and enterprise software. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts with customers and vendors worldwide, while providing strategic legal advice to internal teams and partnering with external counsel across Europe and the Americas.
Location: this is a remote role available in EMEA and AMER, with the option of working from our London office.
Qualifications
- Requires a degree in law (JD or equivalent) and active license to practise law.
- Strong drafting, negotiating, and advisory skills across international contracts.
- Excellent English drafting and presentation abilities.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers and vendors globally.
- Provide legal support to internal clients, including sales teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support company initiatives.
- Utilise the contract management system to maintain accurate data for signed contracts.
- Liaise with local counsel in multiple countries to obtain and implement advice.
