Job summary

NielsenIQ is seeking a Senior Leader to shape Global Technology and IT Procurement strategy from the US remote location. You will partner with CTO leadership, Finance and Legal to drive spend optimization, licensing, and supplier governance.

The role requires building category strategies, leading global negotiations, and delivering measurable cost savings while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. Strong stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including Technology/IT procurement in a complex global org.
• Experience managing and negotiating large, complex technology agreements.
• Knowledge of major technology categories: enterprise software/SaaS, cloud, IT services, data/analytics, hardware.
• Understanding of licensing models: subscription, consumption-based, enterprise licensing, services.
• Ability to analyze spend, licensing, supplier economics for optimization.
• Experience leading competitive sourcing and executive-level negotiations.
• Strong financial acumen to develop business cases and assess total cost of ownership.
• Knowledge of sourcing processes, contract structures and legal/commercial considerations.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive collaboration.
• Change-management and stakeholder-management in global matrix orgs.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop global category and sub-category strategies across Technology and IT.
• Lead complex global technology negotiations including software licensing and SaaS.
• Establish supplier management programs with executive reviews and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, license optimization, and vendor consolidation.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Security and Tech teams to ensure protections.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for major categories.
