Job summary

Gotion, Inc. is seeking a Tax Manager to build and lead a high performing corporate tax team. This role will oversee global tax planning, compliance, audits, and reporting, partnering with leadership to optimize tax strategy and shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Tax (or related).
• CPA designation or Master’s degree in accounting/tax preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax code, compliance, and procedures.
• Experience with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
• 6+ years' experience, preferably within Big Four and multinational tax departments.
• Ability to communicate taxes to non-tax leaders and influence business decisions.
• Experience leading tax projects and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review annual domestic income tax returns prepared by a third party.
• Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings, declarations, and extensions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax close, including provision calculations.
• Liaise with senior management on tax issues and incentives.
• Ensure compliance with tax code changes across entities.
• Oversee costs associated with the tax function.
• Prepare effective tax rate modeling for long-range planning and cash flow.
• Supervise outside tax advisors on various projects.
• Advise senior management on tax planning strategies to enhance shareholder value.
• Partner with the business to expand international operations and manage transfer pricing.
