KPMG LLP is seeking a Tax Intern to join our International Tax practice. The role involves advising on cross-border tax matters, structuring for asset management and corporate clients, and learning tax law changes with training and materials provided by KPMG. The internship supports work across tax provision computations and related client deliverables.

Travel to client sites may be required, and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a JD and/or LLM in Taxation, or equivalent program
• Completion of internship requires additional academic credits to complete degree and CPA eligibility
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• Preferred undergrad studies: business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, IT, CS, data analytics, engineering

Responsibilities

• Advise multinational enterprises on cross-border tax matters and structuring
• Support clients with mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and IPOs in cross-border contexts
• Learn tax law changes and advise clients on risks and opportunities
• Assist with international tax elements of tax provisions and of U.S. federal returns
• Support KPMG audit teams on tax implications of global operations
• Prepare tax calculations, slides, memorandums and emails with guidance from the team
• Develop capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI and related technologies
