Job summary

EY EDGE seeks a Tax Functional Leader to drive compliance, advisory, and delivery across complex tax engagements. Lead teams, review work products, and ensure deadlines while mentoring professionals through strategic guidance and performance coaching.

You will collaborate with multiple tax functions, manage risk, and optimize processes using GoSystems, CorpTax, and Onesource in a dynamic hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics.
• CPA, EA, or licensed attorney.
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization.
• Ability to prioritize, handle and track multiple assignments.
• Ability to work in unstructured environment, resolve complex tax issues across multiple functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities and actively engage in implementing improvements.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven skills in developing employees.
• Strong oral and written communication as well as presentation skills.
• Experience with financial and tax applications such as GoSystems, CorpTax, Onesource.
• Proficient using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Proficiency in tax accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all work activities relating to the preparation and delivery of tax compliance client service.
• Lead tax delivery processes and build alliances through teaming, and/or act as a deep subject matter expert.
• Oversee large team and provide visibility to leadership on status, issues, or situations.
• Manage and monitor team's work, progress reporting, workload, quality and utilization/overtime distribution.
• Troubleshoot and identify complex process problems, data submissions, and resolve complex issues.
• Take responsibility for quality of tax work product and manage engagement risk.
• Leverage standard technologies and processes to drive efficiency and quality.
• Leverage LEAD for career development and performance conversations; coach a team of tax professionals.
