Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Tax Analyst to support tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 provisions. The role collaborates with the Director, Tax to manage federal, state, and international tax matters and coordinate with external advisors.

The position is based in Hawthorne, CA, onsite, with a comprehensive compensation package and benefits. You will contribute to tax strategy and reporting timelines while supporting audits and tax filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or business.
• 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting with ASC 740.
• Big 4 experience and CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax information to external advisors for federal and multi-state returns.
• Review and file federal and multi-state tax returns.
• Prepare annual tax provision and ASC 740 memos.
• Assist in tax audits and audits with external advisors.
• Coordinate responses to notices and refund processing.
• Manage multi-state taxes, sales/use, property tax, licenses.
• Serve as main contact for auditors and tax service providers.
• Explain tax impacts to other business groups.
• Identify and implement tax process improvements.
• Develop and implement tax strategies.
