Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, based in Research Triangle Park, NC, seeks a Senior Tax Accountant to support compliance, reporting, and accounting across a multinational organization. The role emphasizes ASC 740 tax provisions, tax data gathering, and collaboration with finance and legal teams.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or equivalent, 5+ years of tax experience, and strong Excel and tax software skills. A rigorous, proactive mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s in Taxation and/or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public and corporate tax within a multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax law and ASC 740.
• Exposure to international tax concepts and compliance preferred.
• Proficiency with tax software (OneSource, CorpTax) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle); advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns for compliance.
• Gather and analyze financial data; prepare supporting tax workpapers.
• Coordinate with external tax service providers to support filing and compliance.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
• Calculate effective tax rates; maintain deferred tax schedules; prepare tax disclosures.
• Support tax audits; gather documentation; respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Perform tax research and communicate findings to stakeholders; assist SOX controls related to tax.
