Philips seeks a Global Systems Engineering Leader for the Sleep and Respiratory Care business. You will shape the long-term vision for the Systems Engineering group, manage a global team of 100–200 employees across the US and India, and report to the Head of R&D.

You will drive high standards in engineering, architecture, and product development, foster coaching and growth, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Service to deliver impactful programs.

Qualificações

  • 15+ years of experience in a regulated environment, healthcare/biotech preferred.
  • Experience leading systems engineering organizations at large scale (100+ FTE).
  • Proven ability to influence across functions including Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Service.
  • Strong coaching and team-building skills aligned with Philips Behaviors.

Global Systems Engineering Leader, SRC### Job Description**Job Responsibilities:** The Global Systems Engineering Leader formulates a long-term vision for the Systems Engineering group within the Sleep and Respiratory Care business, and manages capabilities of the department to ensure that business objectives can be met as it pertains to Systems engineering, technology and product development.The Global Systems Engineering Leader role is a people leader with direct responsibility for development and growth of their teams, is a champion of the Philips Culture and is expected to drive change across the organization. This role drives continuous improvement of systems engineering processes in the team and strives for efficiency and the highest standards of quality in everything the team does. This role has responsibility for a global team of Systems Engineers of approximately 100–200 employees, led through a small number of Directors and other people leaders. The organization is expected to be globally distributed, with significant teams in the United States and India. The role reports directly to the Head of R&D of the Sleep and Respiratory Care business.**Key Areas of Responsibility** As a member of the R&D Leadership Team, determines in consultation with the Leadership Team, the Global Systems team’s objectives, policies, processes and budgets on short and long term, makes sure that the organization can meet the objectives and ensures that the roles and responsibilities are put in place. * Formulates and implements long-term vision/direction/strategy steering the group to add maximum value to the business in the future.* Manages the department’s capabilities by maintaining a long-term view of the competencies, knowledge, resources and tools required to introduce new technology. Provides functional ownership of Systems Engineering standards, methods and architecture, and builds and maintains the department’s technical depth and expertise.* Ensures effective people management, including recruitment, staffing, performance reviews, education, training and leadership development, while fostering an engaged, innovative and inspiring environment through coaching, entrepreneurship and employee growth.* Is co-responsible for achieving operational plans, guides Project Managers/Leaders and ensures the optimal allocation of personnel to the projects and effective project management.* Builds strong cross-functional and external relationships with department heads, programs, the business and scientific partners to shape strategies and project proposals, monitor technological developments, and identify trends and opportunities.* Knows the customers well and uses that knowledge in the role. **What you would need to be successful for the role:** * Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.* 15+ years of relevant experience in a regulated environment; medical or biotechnology experience preferred.* Prior experience leading systems engineering organizations of comparable scale (100+FTE).* Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners beyond R&D, including Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Service.* Strong demonstrated ability to coach and motivate a team and build strong cultures in line with Philips Behaviors.* Expert knowledge of product development for consumer propositions, preferably medical consumer propositions* Proven experience in defining an innovation strategy with deep insights to engineering, architecture and research.* Proven ability to manage innovation projects in a global, multi-site matrix environment, leading multidisciplinary teams across technologies and countries.* Demonstrated experience leading complex products or programs from concept through launch—including market need and value proposition, requirements definition, design and development, manufacturing readiness, service readiness and product release* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. **Compensation & benefits**Doing meaningful work should come with fair, transparent rewards. The base salary range for this role is **€204,750 – €327,600**. We determine pay within the range using objective factors, like the skills the role requires, your relevant experience and the responsibility you'll have in this role, alongside internal equity and local market considerations. This role is eligible for bonus with your rewards linked to KPIs. We’ll share the full approach with you during the interview process, so you can make a clear, informed decision.
