Job summary

Philips seeks a Global Systems Engineering Leader for the Sleep and Respiratory Care business. You will shape the long-term vision for the Systems Engineering group, manage a global team of 100–200 employees across the US and India, and report to the Head of R&D.

You will drive high standards in engineering, architecture, and product development, foster coaching and growth, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Service to deliver impactful programs.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a regulated environment, healthcare/biotech preferred.
• Experience leading systems engineering organizations at large scale (100+ FTE).
• Proven ability to influence across functions including Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Service.
• Strong coaching and team-building skills aligned with Philips Behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Formulates long-term vision and strategy for the global Systems Engineering team and ensures capabilities align with business goals.
• Oversees recruitment, staffing, performance reviews, training and leadership development.
• Guides cross-functional collaboration with departments and external partners to shape strategies and project proposals.
• Drives continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and product development standards.
• Ensures projects are delivered with high quality, efficiency and manufacturing/service readiness.
