Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer to lead the global accounting function, including SEC reporting, technical accounting, and operational controllership. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees financial shared services, consolidations, and the company’s transformation of systems.

The role requires 15+ years in accounting, CPA, and deep GAAP/IFRS knowledge, plus experience with revenue recognition in a technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience including Big 4 public accounting and supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Technology industry experience with revenue recognition expertise.
• Experience running a complex multi-site accounting organization.

Responsibilities

• SEC Reporting: oversee internal and external reporting in line with GAAP/IFRS and SEC requirements.
• Technical Accounting: oversee revenue recognition issues and related policy.
• Operational Controllership: improve close processes and consolidate entities.
• Financial Shared Services: manage AP/AR, GL, payroll and incentives.
• Team Management: lead global teams with direct and indirect reports.
• Audit Interface: coordinate with independent auditors and report to Audit Committee.
