Job summary

Skydio is seeking a procurement and supply chain leader to develop scalable sourcing strategies for high-quality drone components and tooling. You will drive supplier selection, cost management, and performance metrics across mechanical manufacturing technologies including injection molding, CNC, die casting, and precision stamping.

You will collaborate with engineering, finance, and programs, own RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and push for best-in-class pricing, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building commodity roadmaps and qualifying suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and total cost of ownership analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and drive cross-functional teams.
• Experience with contract terms (MSA, SOW, NDA) and supplier agreements.
• Familiarity with tooling capacity management and unit cost targets.
• Interest in emerging tech across consumer electronics, aerospace, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity roadmaps and drive supplier selection during NPI and sustaining projects.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers; manage RFIs/RFPs.
• Monitor spend, forecast consumption, and consolidate spend for leverage.
• Collaborate with finance on pricing, costs, and tooling investments.
• Measure supplier performance on availability, quality, supply, and cost.
