Job summary

CAPTEK Softgel International in California seeks a Supply Chain Planner to convert customer demand into executable, capacity- and material-constrained plans. You will align manufacturing, scheduling, procurement, and QA to ensure realistic commitments and on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will manage demand, batches, and dates across sites, identify bottlenecks, and drive recovery actions. This role requires 3+ years in planning and strong ERP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Experience planning in high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of MRP, production planning, master scheduling, finite capacity and lead times.
• Experience creating and maintaining production jobs in ERP systems.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills for data analysis and action requests.
• Ability to evaluate readiness across materials, BOMs, and routings.
• Strong execution discipline and risk escalation before deadlines.
• Cross-functional collaboration across departments.
• Clear communication of statuses, constraints, and recovery plans.
• Experience planning bulk and packaging with shared resources.
• Experience with SYSPRO or similar ERP and BI tools.
• Experience supporting Latest Estimate, SIOP/S&OP and inventory optimization.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand into time-phased production and material requirements.
• Create production jobs in SYSPRO within 24 hours when ready.
• Release, reschedule, or cancel jobs to approved plan with BOMs and routings.
• Maintain planning dates, priorities, commitments, and notes.
• Monitor demand and drive corrections for missing demand and late orders.
• Balance master plan across capacity, labor, and materials.
• Conduct pre-flight readiness reviews with materials and quality requirements.
• Escalate shortages with actions and recovery dates.
• Coordinate master plan to finite scheduling and align priorities.
• Provide inputs for Latest Estimate, SIOP/S&OP and reviews.
• Communicate executable schedules to Operations and Customer Service.
• Follow ERP practices to reduce late releases and volatility.
