Job summary

Optivolt is a San Francisco-based company building intelligent solar systems and is seeking a Global Supply Chain Manager to scale hardware globally. You will own strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier development, cost reduction, and material availability across engineering builds and commercial production.

You will balance cost, lead times, and quality while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and international suppliers, and you will travel internationally as required to support

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience sourcing electronic components and managing hardware suppliers.
• Strong negotiation skills with proven cost reductions.
• Experience working with global manufacturers and managing lead times.
• Proficiency in data analysis and ERP systems.
• Ability to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing for hardware including semiconductors, PCBAs, and components.
• Build and manage supplier relationships domestically and internationally.
• Negotiate terms to optimize cost, quality, and supply continuity.
• Manage pricing, payment terms, tooling, and capacity reservations.
• Lead BOM cost analysis and supplier scorecards.
• Plan for material availability and procurement processes.
• Coordinate supply with engineering for prototypes to production.
• Mitigate shortages and geopolitical risks.
• Collaborate on design-to-cost and component selection.
