Job summary

Protolabs is seeking a Global Supply Chain Director to lead our worldwide partner network and drive strategic supplier performance across regions. The role oversees a 16-person team and requires deep experience in network-based fulfillment, capacity planning, and cost optimization.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Sourcing, and Logistics to expand capabilities, manage regional supply chain risk, and deliver world-class service to customers. Hybrid onsite in Maple Plain, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field.
• 12+ years’ experience in progressive roles within Supply Chain Management, Supplier Development, Operations Management.
• 5+ years of management experience leading teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven track record of building and developing international supply chains across Asia, Mexico, and US/Europe.
• Experience leading and managing supply teams with a track record of improving supplier performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a global partner portfolio aligned with commercial needs and pricing.
• Establish a supplier performance framework with KPIs for quality and on-time delivery.
• Lead strategic supply chain initiatives and capacity planning across regions.
• Build and lead a high-performing team across regions and collaborate with Product, Sourcing, Logistics, and Quality teams.
