Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a senior supply chain leader to oversee end-to-end operations and drive strategic initiatives across global sites.

The role emphasizes obsolescence management, process improvement, policy creation, and supplier onboarding to enable growth and operational excellence. You will develop commodity strategies for scalable operations in the US and Asia, collaborate with engineering, IT, and procurement teams, and lead supplier qualification and onboarding programs to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain leadership within capital equipment or complex manufacturing.
• Expertise in obsolescence management, supplier development, and process optimization.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and supplier collaboration platforms (Ariba).
• 5+ years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Supply Chain and Operations business processes for capital equipment manufacturing across all global sites.
• Develop commodity strategies to scale operations across US and Asia.
• Identify and mitigate obsolete parts and materials risks.
• Lead lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Establish KPIs and metrics for continuous improvement; partner with IT to develop automation.
• Define and enforce supply chain policies; ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
• Design and deliver training programs for supply chain staff; onboarding of suppliers.
