Job summary

ATL Medical seeks a Global Supply Chain Director to oversee complex, international supply chain operations from our Minnesota footprint. You will lead strategic planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management across multiple sites, driving efficiency and cost reduction in a highly integrated manufacturing environment.

The role requires a senior leader with 15+ years in supply chain, at least 5 years in a global leadership capacity, and a proven track record in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for senior leadership.

The Global Supply Chain Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing ATL’s comprehensive, international supply chain operations. This position requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in global supply chain management, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to drive efficiency and innovation across diverse geographical regions in a highly vertically integrated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

• Develop and implement comprehensive global supply chain strategies that align with the company's overarching objectives and international presence.
• Lead and manage global supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution across multiple sites.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the global supply chain to ensure continuity and reliability across various markets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels on a global scale.

Supplier and Vendor Management

• Establish and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers and vendors worldwide.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the most favorable terms and conditions on an international level.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure global standards are met.
• Develop a rigorous supplier qualification and audit process to ensure compliance with international industry standards and regulations.

Team Leadership and Development

• Build and lead a high-performing, multicultural supply chain team, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities across global offices.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and excellence across different cultural contexts.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team members meet or exceed global goals.

Operational Excellence

• Oversee inventory management processes to optimize stock levels and minimize waste across multiple regions.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers worldwide.
• Implement and maintain best practices in supply chain operations, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, on a global scale.
• Utilize data analytics and advanced technology to drive decision-making and process improvements internationally.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant international regulations, standards, and certifications, including ISO and FDA requirements.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain the highest standards of product quality and reliability globally.
• Develop and implement robust quality control processes across the global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing global operations.
• Extensive knowledge of global supply chain best practices, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a global mindset.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement on an international scale.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a global context.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools applicable to international operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a global perspective.
• Ability to travel internationally as required.
