Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Category Manager to join the global procurement team in Chesterfield, MO. You will drive cost reduction, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and relocation projects while coordinating with Quality Management, R&D and the extended procurement network.

The role requires at least 5 years in supply chain roles with procurement leadership, strong contract negotiation skills, ERP/MRP experience (SAP/Fishbowl), and travel to Asian/European markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• APICS/ASCM CSCP certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in strategic procurement in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Production and global Supply Chain to identify initiatives for growth.
• Localize sources and manage global sourcing for Chesterfield facility relocation.
• Lead procurement risk identification and mitigation.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Track KPIs such as COGS, PPV, and supplier performance.
