Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier readiness and performance across the Aeroderivative Engine Operations Industrialization supply chain. You will lead qualification, audits, and corrective actions with suppliers while coordinating with engineering, planning, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires up to 20% travel and in-person New Hire Orientation. A strong background in quality systems, audits, and Root Cause/Corrective Action methods is essential for

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience
  • Alternatively an associate’s degree with a minimum of 8 years
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 4 years of professional quality systems or supplier quality experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier qualification and development activities for the Aeroderivative Engine Operations Industrialization supply chain.
  • Conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with quality requirements and standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance using metrics (PPM, escapes, MRB) and scorecards.
  • Identify root causes with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage supplier action plans to close gaps and raise standards.
  • Perform new supplier qualifications and maintain qualification records.
  • Support onboarding and coordinate supplier exit processes when needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, planning, sourcing, and NPI teams.
  • Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Use data analysis to resolve moderately complex supplier quality issues.
  • Influence stakeholders and suppliers through clear communication and collaboration.
  • Share best practices as a quality resource to internal teams and suppliers.
