Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure suppliers meet quality, delivery, and performance expectations across the Aeroderivative Engine Operations Industrialization supply chain. The role includes onsite support and up to 20% travel, with opportunities to influence supplier readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience OR an associate’s degree with 8+ years OR a high school diploma with 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and development activities for the Aeroderivative Engine Operations Industrialization supply chain.
• Conduct supplier audits to assess quality requirements and standards.
• Evaluate supplier performance using quality metrics (PPM, escapes, MRB) and scorecards.
• Partner with suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for improvements.
• Develop and manage supplier action plans to address gaps and drive excellence.
• Support supplier onboarding and exit processes as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with quality requirements.
