Job summary

Woodward Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support supplier quality and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work with suppliers under the supervision of senior SQEs to resolve quality issues and drive RCCA actions.

The role requires hands-on use of quality tools (FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, sampling plans) and a strong understanding of aerospace/industrial quality standards. Domestic and international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
• 5-7 years of quality/manufacturing/process control experience.
• Experience with supplier quality systems and RCCA.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS standards (e.g., AS9100, TS16949).
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing team under senior SQE oversight.
• Execute quality portion of MRB/non-conformance issues.
• Apply quality tools (FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, sampling plans) to supplier issues.
• Review product drawings, specifications, and procedures for conformance.
• Maintain corrective action database and track RCCA
• Perform supplier audits and monitoring of corrective actions.
• Travel to suppliers domestically and internationally as needed.
• Support the established quality plan for assigned suppliers.
