Job summary

Amprius Technologies, based in Fremont, California, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality for key materials and contract manufacturers. You will qualify sources, monitor performance, drive root-cause fixes, and collaborate with the supply manager.

The role covers audits (AS9100/ISO 9001), PPAP, first-article approvals, control plans, FMEAs, and CAPA. Travel internationally (25–40%) to supplier sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, materials, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality for manufactured hardware; 5+ years for senior level.
• Experience with supplier audits, PPAP and 8D/CAPA, and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Audit new and existing suppliers and contract manufacturers against AS9100, ISO 9001 and Amprius requirements.
• Lead PPAP or first-article approval for new materials, second sources and new CM production lines.
• Define incoming inspection plans, material specifications and acceptance criteria with R&D and Manufacturing Quality.
• Support transfer of new cell designs into CM production, including control plans and process FMEAs.
• Track yield, defect, and on-time data; run quality reviews and on-site audits at suppliers.
• Review supplier change notifications through the change control process.
• Lead or support Lean and Six Sigma projects to improve supplier quality and cost.
