Job summary

Benchmark in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality of materials and supplier performance. This mid-level role includes audits, continuous improvement, and collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing supplier quality experience.
• Experience with supplier audits and QMS compliance (AS9100/ISO 9001/ISO 14001).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality programs aligned with AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001.
• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and evaluations for QMS and regulatory compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA activities using data analysis and process metrics.
• Manage supplier non-conformances and corrective actions for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with sourcing to qualify new suppliers and monitor performance via KPIs.
• Apply APQP/PPAP, GD&T, Lean, Six Sigma in supplier quality activities.
• Maintain quality records and documentation per industry standards.
• Support manufacturing with data analysis on defects and process capability.
