Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to oversee the scaling of electronics and mechanical components in San Francisco. You will work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure supplier readiness, part qualification, and process control.

Responsibilities include PPAP/FAI/APQP, GD&Ts interpretation, reviewing drawings and quality data, and driving continuous improvement across global supplier networks. Travel approx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5+ years in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in electronics, automotive, industrial hardware, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Understanding of CNC, stamping, injection molding, extrusion, sheet metal.
• Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing (SMT, soldering).
• GD&T knowledge and reading engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with PPAP/FAI/APQP/DFMEA/8D problem solving.
• Data-driven problem solving and analytics.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel internationally ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization and scaling of suppliers through NPI and mass production.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure supplier readiness and part qualification.
• Support supplier audits, process approvals, capacity assessments, and production readiness reviews.
• Review drawings, specifications, dimensional reports, and quality data for supplier compliance.
• Support PPAP, FAI, APQP, SPC, and process control activities.
• Drive supplier non-conformance resolution, 8D investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain supplier scorecards on quality, yield, PPM, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness.
• Provide DFM/DFA feedback and support NPI builds and pilot production.
• Develop and qualify a robust global supplier network across CNC machining, sheet metal, stampings, extrusions, injection molding, busbars, harnesses, and PCBA.
• Support make-vs-buy, dual sourcing, localization, lead-time, and manufacturing footprint strategies.
• Travel internationally to supplier sites, approx. 30%.
