Job summary

Gates is seeking a Sr. Manager, Supplier Development & Continuous Improvement within its Global Mobility business.

You will lead supplier development in Asia and globally, build quality teams, and drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across cross-functional teams to deliver cost improvements and supply continuity. The role requires extensive experience with global suppliers, NPI processes, and ERP systems, with a bias toward strategic sourcing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
15+ years of experience with 5+ in supplier development, quality, or CI.
Experience in product development, NPI, and mass production processes.
Experience with global suppliers in Asia and cross-cultural effectiveness.
Knowledge of materials, forming, and assembly processes; global sourcing experience; cross-functional projects; ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier development across India, China, and Southeast Asia and oversee North America/Europe as needed.
Build a product quality team to support regional customers and drive containment and corrective actions.
Develop and implement a strategic CI roadmap with measurable ROI and monthly KPI updates.
Drive Lean principles, standard work, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business requirements.
Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable procurement strategies.
