University of Alaska is seeking an International Student Coordinator to be the frontline contact for the International Student and Scholar Services office. You will interpret immigration requirements, support diverse international communities, and maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced university setting.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of F-1 and J-1 regulations, strong communication skills, and experience in a higher education environment.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree with two years of related experience, or equivalent
• Knowledge of F-1 and J-1 visa regulations affecting international students and scholars
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in records, databases, and reporting
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication for complex regulatory information
• U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residence required for DSO/ARO certification
• Ability to complete required biennial background checks

Responsabilidades

• Serve as first point of contact for the International Student and Scholar Services office
• Interpret and communicate immigration requirements clearly and compassionately
• Maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities accurately
• Assist with designing and maintaining web content and immigration/case-management systems
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance and effective student support
