Job summary

Uber seeks a Director and Head of CommOps Global Strategy & Planning to partner with leaders, tackle top strategic problems, and build financial and operational rigor. You will guide projects that drive growth, loyalty, and competitive advantage across Uber's global organization.

You will report to the VP, Global Community Operations, and lead a team across strategy, planning, and analytics, collaborating with Finance, Product, Marketing, and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business / Economics, or other quantitative fields.
• 12+ years of strategy consulting, corporate / business strategy, operations or related experience
• 5+ years of experience managing a team of 8+ strategy and planning staff
• 3+ years of experience leading and guiding managers who have direct reports of their own
• MBA, Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or other quantitative fields
• Experience in high-growth operations or startup experience or consulting is strongly preferred
• Exceptional communicator and storyteller who can synthesize information quickly and disseminate insights
• Outstanding organizational skills with a structured approach to prioritization

Responsibilities

• Develop the overall customer experience strategy in close partnership with leaders across Comm Ops, Ops, Tech, Finance, and other cross-functional teams
• Lead the global annual Strategic and Budget Planning process with the global leadership team
• Drive strategic projects and programs across Comm Ops and cross-functional areas
• Build deep relationships with leaders to ensure alignment and tackle gaps in strategy or execution
• Coach and develop a team of 10–15 strategy, program management and analytics professionals
• Be the culture carrier and communicate effectively with Uber's leadership
• Act as owner to maximize value for Comm Ops and Uber
