Cerberus Capital Management seeks an Assistant Vice President of Procurement & Spend Management to lead indirect sourcing globally. You will govern supplier relationships, drive cost optimization, and align procurement with corporate strategy, reporting to senior leadership and the Board.

Your focus includes cost ownership, category strategies, and governance of P2P processes, ensuring high-quality services and compliance across functions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement with measurable cost/risk outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, SCM, finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience in regulated, matrixed environments; financial services preferred.
• Proficiency with P2P and sourcing platforms.
• Strong governance, integrity and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own indirect spend across key categories (professional services, IT, HR, data).
• Partner with investment desks and leadership to enable procurement as a strategic enabler.
• Develop category strategies aligned with business objectives and risks.
• Lead the Seven‑Step strategic sourcing process and coach the team.
• Provide leadership in spend analysis, supplier evaluation, and contracting.
• Oversee spend analytics to inform negotiation strategies and decisions.
• Govern MIS and deliver regular reporting to senior management and Board.
• Drive procurement process improvements for efficiency and value.
• Manage budgets and identify savings opportunities while monitoring risk.
• Uphold regulatory and governance standards in procurement.
