Job Purpose:

The Procurement & Spend Management Lead at Cerberus is responsible for leading and governing all indirect sourcing activities across corporate functions and business operations worldwide. This role drives enterprise‑wide value by establishing and managing strategic supplier partnerships, optimizing total cost of ownership, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high‑quality services.

Leveraging best‑in‑class strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and performance governance practices, the Procurement & Spend Management Lead advances cost optimization, mitigates supplier risk, and enables innovation through external partnerships. The role partners closely with senior leadership to align procurement strategies with Cerberus’s broader business objectives, delivering measurable financial impact while supporting long‑term organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage Cerberus indirect spend across key categories, including professional services, financial and market data, IT software, HR benefits and corporate subscriptions.

  • Partner closely with investment desks and corporate leadership to position best‑in‑class sourcing and procurement as a strategic enabler and competitive advantage.

  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with near and long term business objectives, balancing cost optimization, service quality, risk management, and supplier performance.

  • Lead and embed disciplined sourcing practices, including mastery of the “Seven‑Step” strategic sourcing process, while coaching and mentoring the team through complex negotiations and contracting efforts.

  • Provide hands‑on leadership to the team in spend analysis, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier selection.

  • Oversee advanced financial and spend analytics to support data‑driven negotiation strategies and executive decision‑making.

  • Govern business and sourcing management information systems (MIS), delivering regular reporting and insights to senior management and the Board.

  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, tools, and governance frameworks to enhance efficiency, transparency, and value delivery.

  • Manage procurement budgets and monitor performance against actual expenditures, identifying risks and savings opportunities.

  • Maintain rigorous adherence to evolving regulatory, control, and governance standards, upholding fair, ethical, and compliant procurement practices across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a proven record of delivering value across cost optimization, service quality, supplier risk management, digital enablement, and compliance governance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing enterprise‑wide sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives, supported by measurable performance outcomes.

  • Experience operating in highly regulated, complex, or matrixed environments; financial services, investment management, or related professional services experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and sourcing platforms.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing a proactive, solutions-oriented, and entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.

  • Unquestioned integrity, ethical judgment, and commitment to strong governance standards.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $125,000.00 and $150,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus [which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package], and a robust benefits package.
