Job summary

Sotera Health is seeking a Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing to lead category-management across indirect goods, capital equipment, and direct materials from its Oak Brook, IL base. The role oversees a team of sourcing professionals, setting priorities, timelines, and performance expectations to deliver tangible savings and value.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in strategic sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of developing category strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
5+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement.
Experience independently developing and executing category strategies.
Experience sourcing indirect goods/services; capital equipment and direct materials beneficial.
1–3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Lead global category strategies across indirect goods/services, capital equipment, and direct materials.
Manage high-value, high-risk sourcing categories with team oversight.
Develop and mentor a team of sourcing professionals with clear priorities and deadlines.
Analyze spend, supplier markets, requirements and risks to identify savings and improvements.
Lead RFx processes and negotiate supplier agreements with internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Legal, and others to define requirements.
