Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join Global Corporate Procurement. You will lead complex sourcing initiatives across Employee Services, influencing senior leaders and shaping long-term supplier partnerships while delivering measurable savings.

The role emphasizes in-person collaboration in Seattle, data-driven decision making, and end-to-end management of RFx, negotiations, and category strategies across multiple spend areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation.
• Proficiency in best-in-class procurement processes, including category management, benchmarking, should-cost modeling, RFx, reverse auctions, and contract development.
• Experience managing multiple indirect spend categories across IT Software, IT Services, Corporate Services, Marketing, Contingent Labor, Facilities/Real Estate, CAPEX, HR/Employee Services.
• 5+ years of experience developing, leading, negotiating, and executing end-to-end sourcing engagements.
• Demonstrated experience in Employee Services and HR-related procurement, including sourcing and managing spend in HR Services, Employee Benefits, and/or Pharmacy/Drug Programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with internal business stakeholders and understand priorities across suppliers and spend categories.
• Dive deep across business units to optimize performance, quality, and cost.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and benchmarking; inform sourcing strategy development.
• Manage RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Identify sourcing opportunities by leveraging spend analysis and consolidating requirements across categories, suppliers, and geographies.
• Work with finance to identify savings and drive controllership improvements and ROI.
• Provide guidance on procurement processes and best-practice tools, such as category management and supplier evaluation.
