Job summary

Vuori, a California-inspired athletic apparel brand, seeks a Director, International Store Development to lead global store design, construction, and franchise development. You will scale international capabilities across China, Europe, and partner markets, aligning standards with domestic teams.

You have 12+ years in retail development, strong executive communication, and a track record building governance and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in retail development, store planning, design management, construction, or related functions with international exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field as listed.
• Ability to build or scale a development function with governance and ownership clarity.
• Strong knowledge of retail construction processes, cost management, permitting, and landlord coordination.
• Experience partnering with franchisees, distributors, or joint venture partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead international development strategy and execution across Vuori’s global store pipeline, prioritizing China and expanding to Europe and partner markets.
• Build and scale international teams, establishing ownership, rhythms, tools, governance, and decision rights.
• Serve as the functional lead for international store design management with internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with Domestic Development to share standards, learnings, and cost insights.
• Maintain global brand consistency while adapting to local market requirements, timelines, and codes.
• Oversee end-to-end lifecycle: feasibility, due diligence, planning, permitting, construction, turnover, and post-opening review.
• Manage multiple projects with schedules, budgets, risk, and executive reporting; support onboarding of regional resources.
