Job summary

NPAworldwide seeks an experienced Operations Lead Steel Trading to oversee end-to-end trade operations for steel across the US and international markets. You will lead an operations team, managing LCs, banking, customs, logistics, and inventory while coordinating with banks, vendors and customers to optimize performance.

Bachelor's in International Trade preferred; strong ERP and Excel skills; global exposure required.

Qualifications

• Experience in international trade and operations management.
• Strong knowledge of steel/metals products, logistics and customer service.
• Experience with letters of credit, trade finance and banking processes.
• Experience with customs clearance and international trade documentation.
• Good understanding of contracts, purchase orders and Incoterms.
• Experience managing and coordinating Operations staff.
• Excellent attention to detail with multiple transactions.
• Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trade finance and LC processes across sales and purchase contracts.
• Lead trade operations and contract administration for steel products.
• Coordinate with banks for LC issuance, document handling and discounting.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation (invoices, B/Ls, origin docs).
• Manage and develop Operations team across US and overseas regions.
• Optimize incoterms, costs, and treatment of aging inventory.
• Collaborate with IT to improve NAVISION/D365 and reporting.
