Job summary

Job Juncture seeks an experienced Operations Lead for steel trading to manage operational processes for steel products and support operations teams across the US and overseas. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in trade execution, LC management, banking, customs, and inventory management.

You will lead an Operations team, coordinate with Finance, Logistics, and Commercial teams, and ensure compliance with Incoterms while optimizing procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in international trade and operations management.
• In-depth understanding of steel/metals products, logistics and customer service.
• Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit, trade finance and banking processes.
• Experience with customs clearance and international trade documentation.
• Strong understanding of contracts, purchase orders and Incoterms.
• Experience managing and coordinating Operations staff.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP familiarity.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Letters of Credit (LCs) and liaise with banks to issue/confirm LC documents.
• Oversee trade execution, contracts, POs, and Incoterms compliance.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure accurate documentation.
• Lead the Operations team across US and overseas regions.
• Improve systems with IT (Navision/D365) and Excel reporting.
• Manage inventory and aging; optimize stock reconciliation.
