Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Spare Parts Inventory Manager to shape global spare parts inventory strategy within the Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering team in Austin. You will lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize stock, drive data-driven improvements, and enhance traceability across sites, while partnering with Operations and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with peers to develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy for spare parts inventory management.
• Drive initiatives to ensure the right spare parts are available at the right locations, minimizing costs while maximizing operational efficiency.
• Support the nodal spare parts strategy: reallocate stock efficiently to reduce inventory holdings while improving parts availability.
• Support nodal cluster expansion activities, including site onboarding and launch readiness criteria.
• Maintain and improve spare parts data integrity for effective purchasing and inventory decisions.
• Conduct data analysis and interpret reports to identify opportunities and implement changes.
• Lead complex cross-functional process improvement projects.
• Drive deprecation of redundant workflows and simplify processes with global impact.
• Innovate and implement best practices to track spare parts and improve accuracy.
• Define and implement success metrics to measure effectiveness of initiatives.
• Prepare data-driven business reviews for senior management.
• Drive communication across RME and Operations senior management.
